Do you want to be Our associate rector?

Associate Rector Position

Apply to St. Luke's if you long for ministry in a community that strives for intentional diversity.  Here, you'll rub elbows with Republicans and Socialists, the wealthy and the homeless, atheists and literalists, Anglo-Catholics and Protestants, straights and gays, Spanish- and English-speakers, 97-year-olds and children, and immigrants and multi-generational Southern Californians ... and everything in between.  Apply to St. Luke's if your vocation calls you to challenging, inspiring work that will transform you at least as much as you'll transform others.  Apply if you've got a sense of humor ... and please don't otherwise :-).

Apply if you're willing to work hard and learn even more about God's purpose for you.  Located in downtown Long Beach, we seek an Associate Rector to share in the full range of ministry: preaching, teaching, pastoral care, liturgical planning, and leadership.  Your gifts and interests will blend with those of the Interim Rector (through summer 2017, approximately) and future Rector to determine special areas of ministry.  These will include Spanish, Outreach, Homeless, Youth, Young Adults, and LGBTQ ministries.  Bilingual/bicultural is strongly preferred.  St. Luke's is a great place to live into Christ's call for you, so what are you waiting for?
