Instructed Eucharist: Liturgy of the Holy Communion – Sunday, July 23
On Sunday, July 23, at all services, Fr. Ricardo will guide us through an Instructed Eucharist focusing on the second half of the service, the Holy Communion. This will take the place of the sermon that day. What’s an “epiclesis”? What’s with all the hand gestures at the altar? Do we believe in transubstantiation, consubstantiation, or real presence? Come find out the answers to these and other questions!

Teaching Garden Work Party – Saturday, July 29, 9am – 12pm
The St. Luke's Teaching Garden will gather for a work party to move the donation of soil into the garden! Please find the time to join us on Saturday, July 29th from 9:00am – 12:00pm, with LUNCH to follow. Please RSVP so we can prepare enough food. Wholly Pages Book Club – Tuesday, August 8 at 7pm –A Good Man is Hard to Find, by Flannery O'Connor!
Due to a variety of issues, the Wholly Pages book group changed the date of the next gathering to Tuesday, August 8, at 7pm., in the Commins Room. Please consider joining your book club for a lively discussion of this novel by Flannery O'Connor. Copies are still available in the bookstore on Sundays. Light snacks and drinks will be served. Episcopal Night at Dodger Stadium – Friday, September 8 at 7pm
Baseball season is up and running and it's once again time for Episcopal Night at Dodger Stadium. Friday, September 8th, the Dodgers take on the Colorado Rockies at 7pm. This is a great opportunity to enjoy an evening of baseball and fireworks, put together by the Diocese of Los Angeles. Tickets are $25 and the deadline to put your order in is Friday, August 4.
