Mendelssohn and Joel Martinson.
5 PM CONCERT: THE MIGHTY DUO, Trumpet and Organ.
Following a 500 year old tradition begun by the great organ/trumpet
duo of Frescobaldi(organ) and Fantini(trumpet), Julliard graduate,
trumpeter Bill Owens and organist Hsiao-Ching Chao combine talents to
bring old music to life by finding and arranging music from the Baroque
and Renaissance.

5 PM SPECIAL CONCERT: CÔR CYMRAEG PRESENTS THE MUSIC OF WALES
The first Welsh concert choir based in Southern California, Côr Cymraeg is a non-denominational choir of men and women from across the Southland. Their repertoire is one hundred percent Welsh, and is drawn from every musical style - secular and sacred, traditional and contemporary, folk music and orchestral standards. A Free will offering in support of the Welsh Choir will be taken.

Cello soloist Ruslan Biryukov and pianist Mary Au have been hailed for their dazzling virtuosity, passion and superb artistry. They join Long Beach violinist Alan Busteed, to present a program featuring works by Mendelssohn and Shostakovich.

Outstanding pianist, and Friend of Saint Luke’s, Don Fredrickson will accompany winners and participants in the 2008 Certificate of Merit Competition. Performers will be announced after the competition in March 2008.
