ASHANTI MINISTRY
Akwaaba! Welcome! St. Luke's is pleased to announce the formation of the Ashanti Ministry supporting the Pan African Community. The Ashanti tribe is the largest tribe in Ghana, and one of the few matrilineal societies in West Africa. The name represents the hope that this new ministry will grow to be yet another large and nurturing community within St. Luke's. |
| CHILDREN'S MINISTRY provides staff for the youngest parishioners, Sunday School for Preschool, Kindergarten, and Elementary aged children. |
| DRAMA MINISTRY offers interested parishioners an opportunity to participate in dramatic presentations including dramatic readings incorporated into church services, readers' theatre presentations/discussion and talent shows and community theatrical productions. |
EPISCOPAL CAMPUS MINISTRY at CSULB
As part of her ministry, Rev. Julie Wakelee-Lynch is at the university campus once a week for about half the day. St. Luke's is a member of the University Interfaith Center, which provides office and meeting space for an umbrella of religious groups.

FAMILIES and FRIENDS is a once-a-month fellowship get together for all people at St. Luke's: children, their families and their friends.

| GAY/LESBIAN & FRIENDS offers a place for gay, lesbian, transgender, and bi-sexual members of the community to gather for spiritual and social fellowship. |
| HEALING MINISTRY takes place during the main service on Sunday. Go to the chapel during communion and someone will pray with you or for you, a friend, a loved one or a neighbor. |
| HISPANIC MINISTRY -Ministerio en espanol- welcomes any Spanish speakers and non-Spanish speakers who want to be part of our ministry at St. Luke's. |
| ICO(Interfaith Community Organization) St. Luke's associates with ICO to advocate on issues in the local community. |
| PARISH PANTRY provides emergency food supplies to people in need. |
PEACE AND JUSTICE MINISTRY sponsors events at the church and seeks to be involved with community groups. St. Luke's P & J Ministry was established as the Episcopal Peace Fellowship's Long Beach Chapter in the Fall of 2004

WOMEN'S SPIRITUALITY GROUP meets monthly for book discussions, occasional outings, and to reflect on and celebrate feminist contributions to Christian theology.
