Meet in St. Luke's parking lot at 8:30 AM for the parade. The parade begins at 10:30 AM ,MLK Blvd and 7th St.   Post-Parade festivities at MLK Park from 12:30 - 5 PM.
 
NEWCOMER'S BRUNCH

For all people new to St. Luke's: come learn about the church, ask questions and share in fellowship.
 
MANNA MEALS
Saturday, January 24, 2009   9AM - 12:30 PM
St. Luke's prepares and serves a hot meal for the homeless and needy. Look for the sign-up table in the patio or hall on Sundays or call the church office to volunteer. 562-436-4047.  People are needed to help in the kitchen, at the serving tables and casseroles are needed to serve our guests. Any time you can give is helpful, and it is a good way to get to know other St. Luke's people.
 
ANNUAL MEETING
Sunday, January 25, 2009   11:30 AM
There will be a bilingual serice at 10 AM, followed by a light meal and then a one-hour annual meeting.
 
MUSIC CONCERT

4PM EVENSONG: St. Luke's Choir sings music by Felix Mendelsssohn and David  

                          Hogan.

5PM CHAMBER CONCERT: Cellist Manon Robertshaw and Pianist Sharon Collins

                          perform Beethoven's Sonata for cello and piano in A major.

 
LEADERSHIP RETREAT
Saturday, January 31, 2009  9AM-3PM at St. Stephens, Hollywood
Everyone is welcome and all leaders are asked to participate.  This Retreat will be a first step in implementing new models of leadership in the parish.
